Catering Policies

  • Inquiry Policy

    ▪ Catering Inquiries should be made through the EatPorchBox.com/catering website or directly to the Info@eatporchbox.com email.

    ▪ Inquiries can be made in person depending on the availability of managers, but the preferred method is over email or phone.

    ▪ Inquiries must be submitted a minimum of 72 hours in advance of the event. In specific occasions, orders can be submitted within 72 hours of an event, and if they are accepted, paid in full immediately.

    ▪ Managers are happy to work to answer questions and provide recommendations for menu options.

    ▪ Catering orders may not be accepted due to staffing, timing, other catering events, or other limitations, but we will always make our best effort to accommodate orders.

    ▪ Managers will return catering inquiries by the end of the workday if the inquiry was completed during regular business hours.

    • An inquiry does not guarantee a catering order. A manager will work to plan the event, and it will not be placed until a catering contract is signed. Catering contracts are required for all orders over $200 and must be returned at least 72 hours before the event (or immediately) with a deposit or full payment.

  • Customization Policy

    ▪ All catering orders should be ordered from our catering menu on our website (EatPorchBox.com/catering)

    ▪ If individual boxes are ordered from the regular restaurant menu, there’s a 10% bulk discount (must be 10+ of each box).

    ▪ Customizing individual boxes (i.e swapping sides) is not recommended as the suggested items on our box catering menu are the items that hold the best over time for large events.

    ▪ If choosing to customize, we suggest doing all cold items in the box or all hot items in the box, but not a combination of both.

    ▪ The restaurant will do it’s best to accommodate customizations, but not all customizations are possible. Typical customizations would be the same customizations allowed on the menu (such as no feta on the arugula salad is an easy swap, but we cannot do no feta in a quiche).

    ▪ Managers assisting the guest with the catering order will be sure to cover all questions in regard to customizing orders.

    ▪ Large format trays can be ordered cold (with reheating instructions) or hot.

  • Menu & Pricing Policy

    ▪ Our catering menu has the most recent offerings, and changes seasonally with our regular store menu.

    ▪ Drinks are sold by the case (12) for 20% off the store price.

    ▪ Pricing is not negotiable; however, a manager is happy to make suggestions of different options that may fit a budget.

    ▪ Pricing reflects the ingredient cost of the menu item.

    ▪ Eating utensils are included at no cost if needed.

    ▪ Serving utensils are sold at cost if needed (metal tongs and spoons).

    ▪ All individual boxes must be ordered in a minimum of 10 of each item (such as 10 pulled chicken boxes and 10 pulled pork boxes.) For orders smaller than 10, please order off of the regular restaurant menu.

    ▪ Any additional boxes added on for allergies or dietary restrictions will be subject to regular menu pricing.

    ▪ We can accommodate customization for dietary restrictions on our catering menu. However, if any boxes off of our normal menu are added instead, the catering discount on them cannot be applied unless there are more than 10.

  • Order Fulfillment Policy

    ▪ PorchBox catering provides options for food, drinks, utensils, and paper goods, but it does not include any hot or cold holding equipment such as chafers. Once the food has left the restaurant (if it is hot), the guest is responsible for keeping the food warm. PorchBox managers can provide suggestions and options if the guest chooses to purchase their own hot holding equipment.

    ▪ PorchBox does not offer on site catering services.

    ▪ Pickup is the preferred method because the restaurant cannot guarantee the quality of delivery as the only options are 3rd party platforms.

    ▪ If a guest would like an order to be delivered, it will be delivered by Delivery by DoorDash ($3.75 delivery fee) . PorchBox cannot guarantee delivery ranges. Each delivery must be requested.

    ▪ The tip included for deliveries go straight to drivers, not PorchBox employees. Tips for delivery for PorchBox are received in cash before or after the event.

  • Deposit and Payment Policy

    • All orders over $200 will incur a 10% catering fee, which covers additional labor and supplies required for catering orders.

    • All orders must be paid in full 72 hours before the event time agreed upon in the contract. Any orders placed in advance of 72 hours over $200 will require a 25% deposit (or can be paid in full in advance), and the remaining balance must be paid 72 hours before the event. If an order is placed less than 72 hours in advance, payment in full is required when the order is approved, and there is no refund if you need to cancel it.

    • Preferred payment is through invoicing. Payment can also be received in store or over the phone.

    • The 25% deposit paid on orders over $200 is non-refundable under any circumstances.

    • Orders that are under $200 that are canceled more than 72 hours in advance of the pickup time will receive a full refund.

    • Orders that are over $200 that are canceled more than 72 hours in advance of the pickup time will receive a 75% refund on the subtotal.
